1. Registration/ Login
The individual shipper can register on the on-demand trucking platform by providing name, authentic company details, address, e-mail id, contact number etc. After first time registration, next time will be logging in via username or phone number.
The shipper is landed on the dashboard after logging in. This page consists of nearby truck details, estimated fares, etc. The user can view his/her history of shipments over here along with the status of his ongoing freight along with the timestamp. The dashboard consists of a navigation menu that directs to all the functions provided by the app.
3. Finding trucks
The shipper can search for different truck types available for transporting his/her goods to the destination by providing pick-up and destination locations, quoting a shipment rate, and the freight weight and type etc.
4. Request Quote
The shipper can receive and request quotes for his freight from multiple carriers and select the one that is most preferable. Shipper can add comments for the drivers mentioning things to take care while shipment which may be regarding the timeliness or regarding the product shipped and its fragility.
5. Make bookings
A shipper gets several truck drivers responding to his shipment request but he/she has the liberty to choose one apt for the requirement and fare. On finding a suitable truck on driver’s approval of the request, the shipper can book his/her freight by confirming the deal.
6. Schedule Booking
Suppose a consigner wants to make a shipment deal for coming week when he/she will be on vacation; it is possible. Shipper can schedule a booking for his/her goods for any future time.
Shipper gets notified when the driver has arrived, halted, or reached the destination. Alerts will be received if the load is less than the truckload capacity or if it is full container load. There are many types of notifications but, the shipper can choose to customize his/her alert settings.
8. Shipment tracking
The shipper can all the time track his/her shipment while it is transported. GPS system is installed on the truck drivers’ app so the shipper gets all the minute details. If there’s a delay in shipment due to climatic conditions or traffic, the shipper will be notified.
9. Payment Gateway
Here, several payment modes and methods are available for the shipper after the freight has been delivered. Shipper can either pay the driver at the point of delivery or can transfer the shipping amount to the driver’s account.
10. Booking History
Shipper can access and go through all his/her previous freight and booking details here. Shipper can even get a print of all the shipments to keep a track of his business and fare prices expenditure.
11. Rate your Shipment
After goods have been delivered, the shipper can rate the driver and his service. He/she can also post feedback or comments after each delivery. Driver ratings and review help other shippers before assigning them a freight for shipping.
